The Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens will be undergoing major renovations in the next couple of years, transforming this complex into the World Resorts Casino and Racetrack. ASR is presently working on preliminary installation and preparing for the extensive electrical construction to follow. The resort will include 4,500 slot machines, dining facilities and electronic table games after a $380 million budget is established. ASR is proud to be part of this project, as it will also help create more than 1,300 construction jobs and 800 other applicable jobs.


ASR is currently working with Bovis Lend Lease and EJ Electric to construct the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine CSM Building. This 400,000 gross square foot, 11 story tall building will create an important research-oriented academic health center for groups such as the Tisch Cancer Institute. ASR will be involved in the installation of all associated lighting for this project, along with power applications on the lower floors. ASR is also responsible for the installation of the entire fire alarm system for the CSM building.
ASR is currently working with Hunter Roberts Construction on a new Harlem Village Academy High School on West 124th street in Manhattan, NY. This historic center of education and civil rights movements helps children has been ranked #1 in New York of all public schools and is deemed a "model of excellence" by Mayor Bloomberg. ASR is honored to help continue this streak of excellence with a new facility in the heart of Manhattan, and will be involved in installing the entire electrical system for this new building.

ASR along with Pike Construction is currently constructing The Amsterdam at Harborside which is Nassau County’s first and only true life care retirement community. The stylish community will be built on nine acres along West Shore Road in Port Washington, adjacent to the grounds of the Harbor Links Golf Course. The Amsterdam at Harborside will feature 226 independent living apartment homes, featuring maintenance-free living surrounded by resort-style amenities. As a life care community, The Amsterdam also will offer 106 private suites for assisted living and skilled nursing. The Amsterdam at Harborside will be just the ninth life care community in the state of New York.

ASR along with Bovis Lend Lease and Tishman Speyer has started construction of the first phase of Gotham Center, a 3.5 million s/f mixed-use development project in Long Island City. The first phase of Gotham Center includes a 21-story tower, occupied by the city’s Health Department, and 9,400 s/f of retail space. Relocation of the Health Department to Gotham Center is expected to be completed in 2011. The new tower will incorporate green building technology and achieve LEED Silver Certification from the U.S. Green Buildings Council for its interiors, as well as LEED Certification for its core and shell.

ASR is working with URS on building the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center at the SUNY Stony Brook Campus. When completed this project will be Long Island's only Platinum LEED building. Along with our standard electrical installation we are also installing a Photovoltaic System on the exterior of the building. The Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center will develop advanced cutting edge technologies to explore new ways for production of clean energy, enhance production from renewable sources, and find efficient methods for distribution and storage of energy with minimal impact on the local eco systems.

ASR along with Bovis Lend Lease is currently working on the new 5-story, 140,000 sq. ft.
addition to New York Presbyterian Hospital – The Milstein Heart Hospital. This new ambulatory care building will incorporate state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment options and will also provide NYPH the opportunity to shift research, clinical care and education to an ambulatory setting. This strategy will provide for the next generation of minimally invasive techniques, as well as provide a leadership position for the hospital with regards to cardiology education, focus on translational research and integration of research and clinical medicine in cardiac care.

ASR along with Hunter Roberts Construction Group are beginning the 3rd floor Invasive Cardiology Renovation at St. Francis Hospital. This project consists of renovations of the PACU Wing, OR Wing and Cath Labs. Founded in 1922 by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, St. Francis Hospital is New York State’s only specialty designated cardiac center and offers one of the leading cardiac care programs in the nation, with specialties in heart surgery, cardiac catheterization and angioplasty, and the diagnosis and treatment of abnormal heart rhythms..jpg)
